AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for Radio and Display Type) Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Jack Adapter

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly sends the sound signal from an external device to the radio and display receiver assembly via this circuit.

The sound signal that has been sent is amplified by the stereo component amplifier assembly and then is sent to the speakers.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, radio and display receiver assembly or speakers.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - RADIO WIRING SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G37 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the aG1 radio wiring sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G37-25 (ADPG) - aG1-5 Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-11 (AGND) - aG1-14 Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-26 (VAR+) - aG1-6 Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-28 (VAL+) - aG1-13 Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-27 (VA-) - aG1-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      G37-25 (ADPG) or aG1-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G37-11 (AGND) or aG1-14 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G37-26 (VAR+) or aG1-6 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G37-28 (VAL+) or aG1-13 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G37-27 (VA-) or aG1-7 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the vehicle wire harness connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
