SEAT HEATER SWITCH(for Rear Seat) INSPECTION

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT REAR SEAT HEATER SWITCH

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Seat Heater Switch)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection

      Switch Condition

      Specified Condition

      1 (IG) - 7 (E)

      Rear seat heater switch on

      Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat heater switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the rear seat heater switch connector, and check that the rear seat heater switch indicator illuminates.

      OK

      Measurement Condition

      Switch Condition

      Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 1 (IG)

      Battery negative (-) → 8 (IND)

      Rear seat heater switch on

      Indicator illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat heater switch.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the rear seat heater switch connector, and check that the rear seat heater switch illuminates.

      OK

      Measurement Condition

      Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 3 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 5 (R)

      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat heater switch.
