DESCRIPTION

  • The ECM turns on the cruise control SET indicator by sending indicator output demand signals to the combination meter assembly using CAN communication.

  • The cruise control SET indicator illuminates when the dynamic radar cruise control system is controlling vehicle speed.

  • The cruise control SET indicator circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control SET indicator is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

Note:

When replacing the combination meter assembly, make sure to replace it with a new one.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (METER DISPLAY 1)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (-SET SWITCH)

    1. Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control switch (ON/OFF).

    2. Drive at a speed between approximately 40 km/h or 25 mph and 200 km/h or 125 mph.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise1 / Data List.

    4. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      1. for 2AD-FHV, 2AD-FTV:
