INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

   Click here

4. REMOVE VACUUM SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   

   1. Disconnect the vacuum sensor assembly connector.

   2. Remove the engine cover joint and vacuum sensor assembly.

   3. Disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the vacuum sensor assembly.

5. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for ACIS)

   

   1. Disconnect the vacuum switching valve assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the vacuum hose and No. 2 air hose.

   3. Remove the bolt and vacuum switching valve assembly.

6. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

   1. 

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

   2. Detach the 4 clamps and wire harness from the intake manifold.

   3. 

      Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.

   4. Slide the clamp and disconnect the PCV hose from the intake manifold.

   5. 

      Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts, intake manifold stay and intake manifold.

   6. 

      Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

   7. 

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the intake manifold.

   8. with Stud Bolt:

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 GAS FILTER

   

   1. Remove the No. 1 air hose from the No. 1 gas filter and intake manifold.

   2. Using a 24 mm deep socket wrench, remove the No. 1 gas filter from the intake manifold.

8. REMOVE ENGINE COVER JOINT

   1. 

      Remove the engine cover joint.
