CONSTRUCTION
A variable displacement internal gear type oil pump which is driven by the No. 2 chain sub-assembly at the same speed as the crankshaft is used.
The oil pressure and volume is optimally controlled by the ECM, and the oil path of the oil pressure control valve assembly has been changed so that oil flows back to the suction passage of the oil pump assembly.
The oil pump uses an internal relief system which minimizes oil level fluctuations, reduces friction, and reduces aeration of the oil.
