AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Sport Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The ECM memory contains the programs for the normal and sport shift patterns.

By following the programs corresponding to the signals from the satellite switch set and other various sensors, the ECM switches the solenoid valves on and off, and controls the transmission gear ratio.

  1. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH SET


    1. Inspect the satellite switch set.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE SWITCH SET - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the satellite switch set connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G49-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE SWITCH SET - ECM)


    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A95-28 (PWMS) - Body ground Satellite switch set knob turned and held at S/S+ position Below 50 Ω
      A95-29 (SPCN) - Body ground Normal/Custom mode switch pushed and held Below 50 Ω
      A95-28 (PWMS) - Body ground Satellite switch set knob not turned to S/S+ position 10 kΩ or higher
      A95-29 (SPCN) - Body ground Normal/Custom mode switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
