    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other rear shock absorber.


    1. Fully extend the shock absorber piston rod and fix the shock absorber in place at an angle in a vise or similar tool.

    2. Using a drill or similar tool, slowly make a hole approximately 40 mm (1.57 in.) from the top end of the shock absorber and discharge the gas inside of it.

      Note


      • The gas is colorless, odorless and harmless.

      • Since the discharged gas may cause chips to fly off, cover the drill with a cloth when making a hole.
