FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the outer seat track bracket cover.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LOWER LH (for Single Cab)


    1. Remove the front door scuff plate.

    2. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

      Remove the bolt and anchor.

    4. Remove the quarter trim panel lower Click here.

  6. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for Extra Cab)


    1. Remove the front door scuff plate.

    2. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

    3. Remove the back panel garnish upper.

    4. Remove the back panel garnish lower.

    5. Remove the bench type rear seatback Click here.

      Remove the bolt and anchor.

    7. Remove the quarter inside trim board Click here.

  7. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH (for Double Cab)


    1. Remove the front door scuff plate.

    2. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

    3. Remove the rear door scuff plate.

    4. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

      Remove the anchor's built-in bolt from the pillar.

    6. Remove the center pillar garnish lower.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Single cab:

      Remove the outer belt shoulder anchor.


      1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the seat belt anchor cover.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Remove the bolt and shoulder anchor.

      Extra cab and double cab:

      Remove the outer belt shoulder anchor.


      1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Remove the bolt and shoulder anchor.

      w/o Pretensioner:

      Remove the bolt and seat belt.

      w/ Pretensioner:


      1. Disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

        for Single Cab and Extra Cab:

        Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.

      3. for Double Cab:

        Remove the bolt and seat belt.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Extra cab and Double cab)

    1. Remove the center pillar garnish Click here.

    2. Remove the quarter pillar garnish Click here.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Rotate the adjuster approximately 90° , and then pull and remove it.

  10. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER (for Extra Cab and Double Cab)

    1. Remove the plate cover.
