LIGHTING SYSTEM Headlight Dimmer Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives light control switch signals, dimmer switch signals, fog light switch (front*1/rear*2) signals from the headlight dimmer switch.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

  • As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-Vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.*

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH, DIMMER SWITCH)

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I126*1 or I31*2 headlight dimmer switch assembly connector.

      *1: for LH Side Type

      *2: for RH Side Type

    2. Disconnect the I48 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
