FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET LOWER REAR

    1. B374566N01

      Temporarily install front seat inner track bracket lower rear with the 3 bolts.

    2. Tighten the 3 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      24 ft.*lbf

  2. CONNECT FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY

    1. B378752

      Connect the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH (for 5 Door)

  5. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  6. CONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  7. CONNECT NO. 1 REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door)

  8. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)

  10. CONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP (for 5 Door)

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:

      1. Connect the front seat cushion heater assembly connector under the front seat assembly.

      Front Seat Airbag Assembly Connector

      Front Seat Inner Belt Assembly Connector

      Front Seat Cushion Heater Assembly Connector

      Wire harness Clamp

      Install a new wire harness clamp under the front seat assembly.

    4. Connect the front seat inner belt assembly connector under the front seat assembly.

    5. Connect the front seat airbag assembly connector under the front seat assembly.

      Note:

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    6. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    7. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly.

      21 ft.*lbf

      Note:

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

    9. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly.

      Note:

      Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

  24. INSPECT SEAT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCK

    1. While performing the sliding operation of the front seat assembly, check that the left and right adjusters move together smoothly and lock simultaneously. If the seat adjusters do not lock simultaneously, loosen the front seat assembly installation bolts and adjust the adjuster position.

  25. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
