This DTC is stored when the telematics transceiver detects an open or short circuit in the manual (SOS) switch.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds or more.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > Telematics > Clear DTCs
    6. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.


      Body Electrical > Telematics > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH)


    1. Remove the roof console box sub-assembly (manual (SOS) switch).

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      17 (SIG1) - 12 (GND3) Manual (SOS) switch pressed 78 to 86 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - ROOF CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH))


    1. Disconnect the K145 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the V20 roof console box sub-assembly (manual (SOS) switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K145-27 (SIG1) - V20-17 (SIG1) Always Below 1 Ω
      K145-26 (SIG-) - V20-12 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
      K145-27 (SIG1) or V20-17 (SIG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K145-26 (SIG-) or V20-12 (GND3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER
