FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER REASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT COIL SPRING LOWER INSULATOR LH

   1. 

      Install the front coil spring lower insulator.

      Note:

      Make sure that the positioning pin of the front coil spring lower insulator is inserted into the hole in the front shock absorber.

2. INSTALL FRONT SPRING BUMPER LH

3. INSTALL FRONT COIL SPRING LH

   1. 

      Secure SST in a vise.

   2. 

      Attach the arm of SST to the diameter of the coil spring.

      CAUTION:

      • Make sure that the coil spring is installed so that the distance between the upper and lower hooks of SST is at the maximum.

      • Make sure that the claws of the hooks are securely attached.

   3. Using SST, compress the coil spring.

      CAUTION:

      • If the coil spring bends during the compression, immediately stop the compression and reinstall SST.

      • Do not compress the spring until the coil springs contact each other.

      • Do not use an impact wrench.

   4. 

      Install the front coil spring.

      Note:

      • Make sure that the end of the front coil spring is positioned in the depression of the lower insulator.

      • Make sure to install the coil spring so that the paint marks are as shown in the illustration.

4. INSTALL FRONT COIL SPRING UPPER INSULATOR LH

5. INSTALL STRUT MOUNTING BEARING LH

   1. Install the mounting bearing to the upper insulator.

6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

7. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SUPPORT TO FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER NUT

   1. 

      Temporarily install a new nut and the collar.
