RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  4. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET


    1. B008LTS

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 air cleaner inlet from the upper radiator support sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B008KYP

      Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

    Click here

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


  12. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. B008LSM

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood control cable sub-assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. B008L1V

      Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the horn and hood lock support assembly.

    3. B008KKZ

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the wire harnesses from the cooling fan ECU and fan shroud.

    4. B008K71

      Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly together with hood lock support sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE


    1. B008KPT

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the No. 2 radiator air guide from the radiator assembly.

  14. DISCONNECT RADIATOR PIPE


    1. B008KQH

      Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the radiator pipe from the fan shroud.

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. B008LQ3

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Disengage the 4 clamps from the fan shroud.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 3 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. B008MHZ

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Disengage the clamp from the fan shroud.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  19. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  20. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

    Click here

  21. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH

    Click here

  22. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

    Click here

  23. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  24. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A

    Click here

  25. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  26. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud assembly from the vehicle.

    2. B008M0C

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides, and remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  27. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.

  28. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET


    1. Remove the 2 radiator support grommets from the radiator assembly.

  29. REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Remove the radiator drain cock plug.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the radiator drain cock plug.
