STARTER(w/ Stop And Start System) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.

      64 N*m

      653 kgf*cm

      47 ft.*lbf

   2. Install the starter wire with the nut.

      9.8 N*m

      100 kgf*cm

      87 in.*lbf

   3. Close the terminal cap.

   4. Connect the starter connector.

2. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR HOSE

3. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR TUBE

   1. Install the No. 1 air tube with the 2 bolts.

      24 N*m

      245 kgf*cm

      18 ft.*lbf

   2. Tighten the 2 clamps.

      6.5 N*m

      66 kgf*cm

      58 in.*lbf

   3. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

   4. Install the bolt and attach the wire harness clamp.

      7.7 N*m

      79 kgf*cm

      68 in.*lbf

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER BRACKET

5. CONNECT FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

   1. Connect the fuel filter assembly with the bolt.

      7.0 N*m

      71 kgf*cm

      62 in.*lbf

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER SUPPORT

11. INSTALL FRONT BATTERY BRACKET

15. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

16. CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

17. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
