Pressing the unlock button of the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly twice within 5 seconds unlocks all doors after it first unlocks the driver's door.
Manual Unlock Prohibition Function When the doors are all closed and are locked using a key-linked operation, wireless key operation or entry lock operation, unlocking the vehicle using the door control switch is prohibited.
Key Confinement Prevention When the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is present in the interior detection area, and a door lock operation is performed while the driver door is open, all the doors will be unlocked.
Collision Door Lock Release If the SRS airbag system has been deployed, and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) has detected the signal that is output by the airbag ECU assembly, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) unlocks all the doors.
      Shift-linked Automatic Door Lock

When the conditions listed below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.

      • The engine switch is turned from off or on (ACC) to on (IG).

      • The engine is started.

      • All doors are closed.

      • The shift lever is moved from P to R, N, D or M.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.

      • Any one of the doors is in an unlocked state.

      Speed Sensitive Automatic Door Lock

After the engine switch has been turned to on (IG) with any of the doors unlocked, this function causes all doors to be automatically locked once the vehicle speed reaches approximately 20 km/h (13 mph) or more. After this function has operated, it will not operate again until either of the following conditions is met:

      • Any of the doors are opened after the vehicle has stopped.

      • The engine switch is turned off after the vehicle has stopped.

Driver Door Opening-linked Automatic Door Unlock All doors are automatically unlocked when the driver door is opened within 30 seconds of the engine switch being turned from on (IG) to on (ACC) or off.
Customization The on or off setting of some functions and settings can be performed using the Global TechStream (GTS) or multi-display assembly. In addition, some functions are not available depending on the specification. For details, refer to the Repair Manual.
      Double Locking*4
      • The double locking system also prevents the doors from being opened through the operation of the inside door knobs. Thus, the doors cannot be opened either from the inside or outside of the vehicle.

      • To lock the doors with this system, press the transmitter lock button, then press it again within 5 seconds to activate the double locking system. However, as a backup, the driver door can be unlocked with the mechanical key.

      • The door outside handle touch sensor is touched 2 times within 5 seconds.

      Note

Never activate the double locking system when there are people in the vehicle because the doors cannot be opened from the inside of the vehicle.
