FRONT DOOR LOCK INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL DOOR LOCK WIRING HARNESS SEAL

    Note


    • When reusing a removed front door lock assembly LH, replace the door lock wiring harness seal with a new one.

    • Do not allow grease or dust to adhere to the door lock wiring harness seal installation surface.

    • Reusing a door lock wiring harness seal or using a damaged door lock wiring harness seal may cause water ingress. This may result in a malfunction of the front door lock assembly LH.

      Install a new door lock wiring harness seal to the front door lock assembly LH.

  2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

      w/o Double Locking System:

      Attach the guide to install the front door lock remote control cable assembly LH to the front door lock assembly LH.

      B0069FO Install in this Direction

      w/ Double Locking System:

      Attach the guide to install the front door inside locking cable assembly LH to the front door lock assembly LH.

  3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

      w/o Double Locking System:

      Attach the guide to install the front door inside locking cable assembly LH to the front door lock assembly LH.

    2. w/ Double Locking System:

        Attach the guide to install the front door lock remote control cable assembly LH to the front door lock assembly LH.

      2. B0026WI

        Close the cover to attach the claw.

  4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Double Locking System)

      Attach the clamp and claw to install the front door lock cover sub-assembly LH.

  5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the front door lock assembly LH.

      *1 Front Door Lock Open Rod LH
      B0069FO Install in this Direction

      Connect the front door lock open rod LH to install the front door lock assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the front door lock open rod LH is securely connected to the front door lock assembly LH.

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the front door lock assembly LH with the 3 screws.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  9. INSTALL FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH

  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  11. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  12. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

  13. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side, w/ Power Window)

  14. INSTALL POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side, w/ Power Window)

  15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

  16. INSTALL FRONT ARMREST ASSEMBLY LH

  17. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

  18. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
