ENTRY AND START SYSTEM


  1. OUTLINE


    1. The entry and start system has the following main functions, making it a very user-friendly system:

      Function Outline
      Start Function

      The start function is operated by simply pressing the push start switch while carrying the key. When the push start switch is pressed, the smart key ECU assembly turns on/off the ACC relay, IG1 relay, and IG2 relay to switch the power source pattern.


      • The power source mode changes depending on depression of the brake pedal*1 or clutch pedal*2 and the shift lever position*1.
      Start Function Engine Immobiliser The engine immobiliser function compares the ID code registered in the smart key ECU assembly, steering lock ECU and the immobiliser code ECU*3 with the ID code of the transponder chip embedded in the key.
      Steering Lock The steering lock function is operated to lock and unlock the steering wheel by using a lock/unlock motor in steering column assembly.
      Entry Function

      Entry Unlock:

      The doors unlock if a front door handle assembly outside is gripped.


      • The driver or passenger front door handle assembly outside unlocks the all doors.*4,*5

      • On the driver side, only the driver's door unlocks, while on the passenger side, all doors unlock. The customization function can be used to set this to unlock the all door.*6,*7

      Entry Lock:


      • Touching the lock sensor of a front door handle assembly outside will cause all doors to lock.
      Entry Function Luggage Door Open The luggage door open function can be operated manually by simply pressing the back door opener switch.
      Wireless Door Lock Control The wireless door lock control function is a convenient system for locking and unlocking all the doors and luggage door at a distance. The basic operation is the same as that in the wireless door lock control system.
