OUTLINE
Exhaust Emission Control System (Models with Unleaded Gasoline Engine)
2 Three-Way Catalysts (TWCs) are used to reduce emissions in the exhaust gas.
Based on the signals from the air fuel ratio sensor* and oxygen sensors, the ECM controls the fuel injection volume in order to optimize the emissions in the exhaust gas.
An air injection system is used.*
*: Models compliant with EURO 3 and EURO 4 emission regulations
Evaporative Emission Control System (Models with Unleaded Gasoline Engine)
The ECM controls the purge flow of evaporative emissions (HC) in the charcoal canister assembly in accordance with engine conditions.
