CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • If DTC P3147-240 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.

    1. After DTC P3147-240 has been output, drive the vehicle at approximately 15 km/h (9 mph) or more for approximately 10 seconds or more while maintaining a stable vehicle speed.

      (If generator (MG1) does not rotate in this condition, DTC P3147-240 will be stored.)

  • If DTC P3147-242 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.

    1. When the vehicle is stopped, turn the power switch on (READY) and gradually depress the accelerator pedal so that the engine starts.

    2. Drive the vehicle at approximately 20 km/h (12 mph) or more for approximately 10 seconds or more while maintaining the vehicle speed.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes

      Result

      Proceed to

      P3147-240 or P3147-242 only is output.

      P0A1D is also output.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

    P3147-240 or P3147-242 only is output.
