HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

      Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  2. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

      Turn the headlight control ECU socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and disconnect the headlight control ECU socket.

      Release the set spring lock as shown in the illustration and remove the bulb.

      Note:

      Do not touch the glass part of the bulb.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB

      Turn the bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  4. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT SOCKET

      Turn the socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  5. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

    1. Remove the bulb.

  6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET

      Turn the socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  7. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

    1. Remove the bulb.

  8. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR LH

      Align the notches of the headlight leveling motor and housing, and pull out the headlight leveling motor slightly.

      Tip:

      For the headlight leveling motor RH, rotate it in the opposite direction of the arrow shown in the illustration before pulling it out.

      Lower the tip of the headlight leveling motor to disengage it from the reflector and remove the headlight leveling motor.

  9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING

    1. Remove the packing.

  10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 4 screws.

    2. E198112

      Disconnect the connector and remove the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET

    1. Remove the gasket.

  12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT REFLECTOR LH

    1. E204910

      Turn the aiming screw clockwise, and move the motor so that it can be removed.

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 3 screws.

      Apply tape as shown in the illustration.

    5. E204913

      Remove the headlight reflector LH as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Make sure not to damage the headlight control ECU socket harness.
