VACUUM PUMP(for 3ZR-FAE) REMOVAL

Tip:

The vacuum pump assembly is listed as one of the 200000 km (124000 mile) maintenance parts. Make sure to disassemble and inspect it every 200000 km (124000 miles) and replace parts as necessary.

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE

  5. DISCONNECT UNION TO CONNECTOR TUBE HOSE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the hose.

  6. REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY

    1. C169251

      Remove the 3 bolts and vacuum pump from the engine assembly.

      Note:

      As 2 different lengths of bolts are used, make sure to make a note of the installation positions.

      Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the No. 2 and No. 3 O-rings from the vacuum pump.

      Note:

      Do not damage the groove.
