GLOW PLUG REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE ENGINE COVER BRACKET

      Disconnect the glow plug connector.

    2. Remove the bolt, nut and engine cover bracket.

    3. Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire so that the glow plugs can be removed in a later step.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR

      Remove the 4 screw grommets.

    2. A264952

      Detach the clamp and disconnect the glow plug connector from the bracket.

    3. A264954

      Remove the 4 nuts and No. 1 glow plug connector.

  7. REMOVE GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY

    1. A297112

      Using a 10 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 4 glow plugs.
