SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

If the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH was deployed, replace the parts indicated in the chart below according to the specification.

Front seat cushion airbag assembly

Separate type front seat cushion cover

Separate type front seat cushion pad

Front seat cushion spring sub-assembly

Front seat adjuster assembly

Front seat cushion airbag assembly

Front seat cushion with cover pad

Front seat cushion spring sub-assembly

Front seat adjuster assembly

Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE

INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
1. Attach the 3 wire harness clamps to set the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH.
2. Install the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH with 3 new nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.5 N*m { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
  CAUTION:
  - The nuts must not be reused.
  - Make sure that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
3. Attach the claw to connect the airbag connector.
4. Attach the 3 wire harness clamps.

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
