RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSPECT STARTER RELAY (ST)

    1. A291372N01

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection

      Condition

      Specified Condition

      3 - 5

      Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2

      10 kΩ or higher

      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2

      Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the starter relay.

  2. INSPECT GLOW PLUG RELAY

    1. A291373

      Disconnect the glow plug relay connector.

    2. Detach the clamp and remove the glow plug relay.

    3. A201709N01

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection

      Condition

      Specified Condition

      1 - 2

      Battery voltage not applied to terminals 3 and 4

      10 kΩ or higher

      Battery voltage applied to terminals 3 and 4

      Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the glow plug relay.
