POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Front Passenger Side Door Key Lock and Unlock Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The door key lock and unlock switch is built in the front door lock assembly.

This switch turns on when the door key is in the unlock position and turns off when the door key is in the lock position. It is used as one of the operating conditions for the key confinement prevention function.

  1. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DOOR KEY LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH)


    1. Remove the front door lock assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the front door lock assembly Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY [BODY ECU] - FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the 13B instrument panel junction block assembly (body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the K1*1 or L1*2 front door lock assembly connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      13B-4 (UL2) - K1-5 (UL) Always Below 1 Ω

      13B-4 (UL2) or K1-5 (UL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
