SPEED LIMITER SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

  1. DESCRIPTION

    The ECM controls the speed limiter system of the vehicle. The data and DTCs relating to the speed limiter system can be read from the DLC3 of the vehicle. Use the GTS to check and solve the problem.

    Tip:

    If a vehicle speed sensor, stop light switch or any other related part malfunctions, the ECM cancels speed limiter operation automatically.

  3. CHECK INDICATOR

      Cruise Control Indicator (Green)

      Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Check that the speed limiter indicator illuminates in green when the speed limiter system is turned on using the adjustable speed limiter switch (cruise control main switch) (ON-OFF button), and that the indicator turns off when the speed limiter system is turned off using the adjustable speed limiter switch (cruise control main switch) (ON-OFF button).

      Tip:

      While driving with the speed limiter system controlling vehicle speed, the ECM will automatically cancel speed limiter system control of vehicle speed when a malfunction occurs in one of the following: vehicle speed sensors or other related parts. When control of vehicle speed by the speed limiter system is automatically canceled, the speed limiter indicator changes to yellow.
