  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER FRONT SPLASH SHIELD LH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

  4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER CENTER STAY SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR AIR GUIDE PLATE

  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL RH

      Remove the clip.

    2. Detach the 3 clips and remove the hood to front fender seal RH.

  11. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT FENDER SEAL LH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure described for the RH side.

  12. REMOVE COWL TOP PANEL OUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

  15. REMOVE FUSE BOX OPENING COVER

  16. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 3 claws.

    2. B338115

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER (w/ Cover)

      Detach the clip and guide, and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

      w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch

      w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 bolts.

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

      String

      Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Detach each clamp, and then pull out the hood lock control cable assembly from the vehicle body.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable assembly.
