PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 console box mounting bracket.

  3. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

      Lock Nut

      *2

      No. 1 Cable Adjusting Nut

      Remove the lock nut and No. 1 cable adjusting nut.

    3. C278488

      Disconnect the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake equalizer.

      Remove the 2 bolts and parking brake lever (with the No. 1 parking brake cable).

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Pull up the parking brake lever claw.

    2. C278491

      Disconnect the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake lever.

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY
