The rear cooling unit expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) is controlled by the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (REAR MAGNETIC VALVE)

    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the rear cooling unit expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) operates

      Disconnect the Q26 valve connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR MAGNETIC VALVE - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)

    1. Disconnect the Q26 valve connector.

    2. Disconnect the G13 amplifier connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. REPLACE REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE (REAR MAGNETIC VALVE)

    1. Replace the rear cooling unit expansion valve (rear magnetic valve)

      Tip:

      Since the rear cooling unit expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the rear cooling unit expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) with a normal one and check that the operation returns to normal.
