MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ECU INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL TCM

    1. Install the TCM to the vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

      12.5 N*m

      127 kgf*cm

      9 ft.*lbf

    2. Connect the 4 TCM connectors.

  2. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH BODY ECU

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. WRITING LEARNING VALUE

    Note:

    • If the learning value cannot be written using the GTS, replace the clutch disc and clutch cover as a set.

    • If the TCM is initialized or replaced, replace the clutch disc and clutch cover as a set, as the learned value will be cleared or reset.

    1. Writing learning value.

      1. Prepare the vehicle:

        • Stop the vehicle.

        • Move the shift lever to N.

        • Turn the engine switch off.

        • Apply the parking brake.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Utility / Parts Exchange.

        Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Utility

        Tester Display

        Parts Exchange

      6. Follow the instruction on the GTS.

      7. Complete writing learning value.

      8. Turn the GTS off.

      9. Turn the engine switch off.
