INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Reclining)

1. w/o Front Seat Side Airbag:

   Check the operation of the power seat motor assembly (for Reclining).

      *c	Component without harness connected (Power Seat Motor Assembly)

      Apply battery voltage to the power seat motor assembly (for Reclining).

   2. Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 2 Battery negative (-) → 1 Motor gear rotates clockwise Battery positive (+) → 1 Battery negative (-) → 2 Motor gear rotates counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat motor assembly (for Reclining).

INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

1. for RHD:

   Check the operation of the separate type front seatback assembly (reclining motor).

   
   

   1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback assembly to the separate type front seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.

   2.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Separate Type Front Seatback Assembly (Reclining Motor))
      	Forward
      	Backward

      Apply battery voltage to the separate type front seatback assembly (reclining motor).

   3. Check that the separate type front seatback assembly moves smoothly as follows.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 2 Battery negative (-) → 1 Forward Battery positive (+) → 1 Battery negative (-) → 2 Backward

      If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback assembly.

2. for LHD:

   Check the operation of the separate type front seatback assembly (reclining motor).

   
   

   1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback assembly to the separate type front seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts.

   2.

      Apply battery voltage to the separate type front seatback assembly (reclining motor).

   3. Check that the separate type front seatback assembly moves smoothly as follows.

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 2 Battery negative (-) → 1 Forward Battery positive (+) → 1 Battery negative (-) → 2 Backward

      If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback assembly.
