TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
CHECK WARNING LIGHT
Note:When there is a problem with the tire pressure warning system, the tire pressure warning light blinks at 0.5 second intervals, and illuminates after 1 minute.
When the malfunction has been corrected, the tire pressure warning light goes off.
When the tire pressure warning light illuminates, immediately check the tire pressure of the tires and adjust them to the specified value.
After the ignition switch is turned to ON, the tire pressure warning light illuminates for 3 or 4 seconds and then goes off. If the warning light does not illuminate for 3 or 4 seconds, proceed to the troubleshooting for the tire pressure warning light circuit.

Tire Pressure Warning Light
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Check that the tire pressure warning light illuminates for 3 or 4 seconds.
Tip:During initialization: Illuminates for 4 seconds
After initialization: Illuminates for 3 seconds
WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES
When the tire pressure warning light illuminates during driving, check the tire pressure.
The system may not operate properly in the following conditions (when the conditions return to normal, the system will work properly).
The vehicle speed is less than 40 km/h (25 mph).
When different size tires from that which is specified are used.
When tires of different manufacturers are used.
When snow tires, a compact spare tire or tire chains are used.
One of the tires on the vehicle is extremely worn or new.
When aftermarket tire repair sealant is used.
The vehicle is driven on unpaved, extremely rough or slippery roads.

NORMAL MODE DTC
DTCs are stored in the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) and output by blinking the tire pressure warning light or by using the GTS.
TEST MODE (SIGNAL CHECK MODE)
By switching from normal mode into test mode (signal check mode), the tire pressure warning reset switch can be inspected.
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
When a malfunction occurs in the tire pressure warning system, the tire pressure warning light illuminates after blinking for 1 minute to inform the driver of the system failure.
As a result of this, tire pressure monitoring is disabled and a DTC is stored in the tire pressure warning ECU.
