  1. CUSTOMIZE WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM

    Tech Tips


    • The following items can be customized.

    • During customize mode, the alarm control functions are disabled.

    • During customize mode, the following wireless control functions are disabled: remote alarm function, automatic locking function, operation stop function and illuminated entry function.

    • During customize mode, the ECU will not output lock/unlock signals.

    • While in customize mode, if the key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder or a door is opened, customize mode will be canceled.

    Note


    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Record the current settings before customizing.


    1. Customizing with manual operation

  2. CUSTOMIZE WIRELESS ANSWER-BACK AND DOOR AJAR WARNING FUNCTION


    1. Customizing wireless answer-back and door ajar warning function:


      1. Check that the following conditions are met.


        • No key is in the ignition key cylinder.

        • The theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state (when either condition below is met):


          • All the doors are in the unlocked condition and the doors are locked and unlocked using the door control transmitter assembly.

          • The key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder, the ignition switch is turned to ON then off, and then the key is removed.

        • The driver side door is opened (the other doors are closed).

      2. Perform the following operation twice within 5 seconds:


        1. Insert the key into the ignition key cylinder, and then pull it out (ending with the key pulled out).

      3. Wait for 5 seconds.

      4. After completing the above step, press and hold down lock switch and unlock switch on the door control transmitter assembly at the same time for over 3 seconds within 5 seconds.

      5. Check that the hazard warning lights flash once.

      6. After completing the lock and unlock switch operation, perform the following operation within 5 seconds.


        1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly once within 2seconds.

      7. After completing the above step, press the unlock switch on door control transmitter assembly once within 2 seconds.

      8. Check that the hazard warning lights flash once.

      9. After completing the unlock switch operation, perform the following operations (mode select) within 10 seconds:


        1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly the number of times shown below depending on the desired function behavior to select the answer-back pattern and warning function setting. Press the unlock switch on door lock transmitter once within 2 seconds of pressing the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly.


          • Pattern 1

          • Wireless Answer-back Function: Only hazard warning lights and side turn signal lights flash

            Door Ajar Warning Function: ON


            1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly once.


          • Pattern 2

          • Wireless Answer-back Function: Hazard warning lights and side turn signal lights flash and security horn assembly sounds

            Door Ajar Warning Function: ON


            1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly twice.


          • Pattern 3

          • Wireless Answer-back Function: OFF

            Door Ajar Warning Function: OFF


            1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly 3 times.

      10. Check the response to the customize operation.

  3. CUSTOMIZE WIRELESS UNLOCK OPERATED TWICE FUNCTION (for 2 Step Unlock Function)


    1. Customizing wireless unlock operated twice function:


      1. Check that the following conditions are met.


        • No key is in the ignition key cylinder.

        • The theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state (when either condition below is met):


          • All the doors are in the unlocked condition and the doors are locked and unlocked using the door control transmitter assembly.

          • The key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder, the ignition switch is turned to ON then off, and then the key is removed.

        • The driver side door is opened (the other doors are closed).

      2. Perform the following operation twice within 5 seconds:

      7. After completing the above step, press the unlock switch on door control transmitter assembly once within 2 seconds.

      8. Check that the hazard warning lights flash once.

      9. After completing the unlock switch operation, perform the following operations (mode select) within 10 seconds:


        1. Press the transmitter lock switch according to the number of times shown below to select the wireless unlock operated twice function. Press the unlock switch within 2 seconds of pressing the LOCK switch.

            1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly once.

            2. Press the unlock switch on door control transmitter assembly once.


          • Pattern 2

          • Wireless Unlock Operated Twice Function: OFF


            1. Press the lock switch on door control transmitter assembly twice.

            2. Press the unlock switch on door control transmitter assembly twice.

      10. Check the response to the customize operation.
