ECM REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM REGISTRATION

  2. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. SEPARATE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

    1. A349788

      Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 air cleaner inlet.

      Note:

      Move the No. 1 air cleaner inlet to ensure enough space for the removal and installation of the ECM installation bolt.

  9. REMOVE ECM

      Push

      V100136

      Raise

      Raise the 2 levers while pushing the locks on the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.

      Note:

      After disconnecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.

      Remove the 2 bolts and disengage the guide to remove the ECM.

      Note:

      If the ECM has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      No. 1 ECM Bracket

      *2

      No. 2 ECM Bracket

      Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 ECM bracket from the ECM.

    4. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 ECM bracket from the ECM.
