PROCEDURE
INSPECT SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY (w/o Smart Key System)

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

1 (ACC) - Body ground

8 (STP) - Body ground
Brake pedal depressed
11 to 14 V
Brake pedal released

5 (KLS+) - Body ground
Ignition switch ACC and shift lever in P
Below 1 V
Ignition switch ACC and shift lever not in P
11 to 14 V
4 (IG) - Body - ground
Ignition switch to ON
11 to 14 V
Ignition switch off
Below 1 V
Tip:Do not disconnect the shift lever assembly connector.
If the voltage value is not as specified, replace the shift lever assembly.

Tip:Do not disconnect the shift lever assembly connector.

If the voltage value is not as specified, replace the shift lever assembly.

Disconnect the connector from the shift lever assembly.

If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the shift lever assembly.
