INPUT SHAFT DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE INPUT SHAFT REAR RADIAL BALL BEARING

   1. 

      Using SST and a press, remove the input shaft rear radial ball bearing from the input shaft.

      09950-00020

      Note:

      • Do not excessively tighten SST.

      • Support the input shaft by hand to prevent it from dropping.

2. REMOVE INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING SNAP RING

   1. Hold the input shaft in a vise between aluminum plates.

      Note:

      Do not overtighten the vise.

   2. 

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the input shaft front bearing snap ring from the input shaft.

3. REMOVE INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING

   1. 

      Using SST and a press, remove the input shaft front bearing from the input shaft.

      Note:

      • Do not excessively tighten SST.

      • Support the input shaft by hand to prevent it from dropping.
