DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer sounds to alert the driver. The sounding pattern changes depending on the distance to an obstacle.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER)

    1. Disconnect the G34 No. 1 clearance warning buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the G33 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  2. CHECK NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER

    1. Temporarily replace the No. 1 clearance warning buzzer with a new or normally functioning one.

    2. Check that the clearance warning buzzer sounds properly when the Toyota parking assist-sensor system detects an obstacle.
