REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL REAR ROOF NO. 1 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the 4 clips.

  2. INSTALL REAR ROOF NO. 2 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the clip.

  3. INSTALL REAR ROOF NO. 3 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the clip.

  4. INSTALL REAR ROOF NO. 4 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the clip.

  5. INSTALL REAR ROOF NO. 5 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the clip.

  6. INSTALL REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY

    1. B311695N01

      Install the rear cooling unit to the vehicle with the 5 bolts.

      5.4 N*m

      55 kgf*cm

      48 in.*lbf

      Tip:

      Install the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the 4 connectors.

    3. Attach the 3 clamps.

  7. INSTALL REAR SIDE NO. 1 AIR DUCT

    1. Insert the upper part of the duct into the roof side duct and, using that point as a pivot point, swing the duct into place and install it to the rear cooling unit.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the cooler plate.

  8. INSTALL REAR SIDE NO. 3 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the 2 clips.

  9. INSTALL REAR SIDE NO. 2 AIR DUCT

    1. Install the duct with the 2 clips and attach the clamp.

  10. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH

  11. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe.

    2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to 2 new O-rings and the fitting surface of the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

    3. Install the 2 O-rings to the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

    4. Connect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

    5. Install the bolt.

      5.4 N*m

      55 kgf*cm

      48 in.*lbf

    6. Connect the heater water inlet hose and heater water outlet hose.

    7. Using pliers, grip the claws of the clips and slide the 2 clips.

  25. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER

    1. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type LH Side:

      Install the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Click here).

    2. for 60/40 Split Slide Walk-in Seat Type RH Side:

      Install the rear No. 1 seatback assembly (Click here).

  27. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

    1. Install the rear No. 2 seat assembly (Click here).

  28. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

  29. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    1. Add engine coolant (Click here).

  30. CHARGE REFRIGERANT

  31. WARM UP ENGINE

  32. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS

    1. Check for engine coolant leaks (Click here).

  33. CHECK FOR REFRIGERANT GAS LEAK

  34. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    1. Check the SRS warning light (Click hereClick hereClick here).

  35. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
