OUTLINE
A K114 Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT) is used on 2WD models with 3ZR-FAE engine.
A gate type shift lever with boot is used.
An 8-speed sport sequential shiftmatic system is used.
A shift paddle is provided depending on the model.
A drive mode select is provided to select the drive mode (ECO, NORMAL, SPORT). In SPORT mode, a higher level of responsiveness and a linear acceleration feel have been achieved.
A differential pre-torque mechanism is used. Straightline stability and acceleration performance during periods of low load and low differential rotation when the vehicle is being driven normally are ensured.
A CVT fluid warmer is used in the CVT fluid cooling system.
A coaxial 2 discharge port oil pump system is used.
An electric oil pump is positioned parallel to the hydraulic circuit of the mechanical oil pump to ensure the oil pressure in order to achieve shock reduction and responsiveness when starting the engine from an idling stop. As a result, a smooth start-off is made possible. For details, refer to 3ZR-FAE IDLING STOP CONTROL.
