MASS AIR FLOW METER ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT INTAKE MASS AIR FLOW METER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the intake air mass in the mass air flow meter.


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Start the engine.

      3. Turn the tester ON.

      4. Select the menu items:

        Power train / Engine and ETC / Data List / MAF, and read the intake air mass.

        Standard
        Between 1.0 and 270.0 g/s

        If the result is not as specified, check the mass air flow meter, or wiring and ECM.
