MULTI-MODE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ECU REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

2. READ LEARNING VALUE

   Note:

   • If the learned value cannot be read using the GTS, replace the clutch disc and clutch cover as a set.

   • If the TCM is initialized or replaced, replace the clutch disc and clutch cover as a set, as the learned value will be cleared or reset.

   1. Read learning value.

      1. Prepare the vehicle:

         • Stop the vehicle.

         • Move the shift lever to N.

         • Turn the engine switch off.

         • Apply the parking brake.

      2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      4. Turn the GTS on.

      5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Multi-Mode M/T / Utility / Parts Exchange.

         Powertrain > Multi-Mode M/T > Utility

         Tester Display
         Parts Exchange

      6. Follow the instruction on the GTS.

      7. Complete read learning value.

      8. Turn the GTS off.

      9. Turn the engine switch off.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

4. REMOVE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH BODY ECU

   Click here

5. REMOVE TCM

   

   1. Disconnect the 4 TCM connectors.

   2. 

      Remove the 2 bolts and TCM from the vehicle body.
