AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P275612

DTC Code DTC Name
P275612 Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Short to Battery

DESCRIPTION

The ECM controls the lock-up solenoid using a predetermined current, and performs lock-up and flex lock-up control.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area MIL Memory Note
P275612 Torque Converter Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Control Circuit Short to Battery Solenoid (SLU) valve circuit current is higher than specified value for the target current continuously for 1 second or more while driving (1-trip detection logic).
  • Harness and connector

  • Transmission wire

  • Solenoid (SLU) valve

  • ECM

Comes on DTC stored SAE: P2763

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

When a short in a solenoid (SLU) valve circuit is detected, the ECM will determine that there is a malfunction, illuminate the MIL and store this DTC.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

Tech Tips

After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.

  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  3. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  4. Turn the engine switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  5. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

  6. Perform the Lock-up Function in Road Test.

  7. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Utility / All Readiness.

  8. Input the DTC: P275612.

  9. Check the DTC judgment result.

    GTS Display Description
    NORMAL
    • DTC judgment completed

    • System normal

    ABNORMAL
    • DTC judgment completed

    • System abnormal

    INCOMPLETE
    • DTC judgment not completed

    • Perform driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions

    N/A
    • Unable to perform DTC judgment

    • Number of DTCs which do not fulfill DTC preconditions has reached ECU memory limit

    Tech Tips

    • If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.

    • If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.

    • If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE or N/A, perform the Confirmation Driving Pattern and check the DTC judgment result again.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE (SOLENOID (SLU) VALVE) - ECM)

    1. Disconnect the ECM connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D2-27 (SLU+) - D2-28 (SLU-) 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω
D2-27 (SLU+) or D2-28 (SLU-) - Other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
