DESCRIPTION
Use this procedure to troubleshoot the blocking system.
*: Use the GTS.
When using the GTS with the vehicle ignition switch off, connect the GTS to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the GTS and the vehicle begins. Then select the Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: (desired system). While using the GTS, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the GTS and the vehicle.

Measure the battery voltage.
Standard voltage
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.
Tip:A simple method to determine whether the battery is depleted is to operate the horn.

Note:When replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly)*1, transponder key ECU assembly*2, telephone transceiver assembly, instrument panel integration antenna assembly or mayday battery, refer to the Service Bulletin.
When the telephone transceiver assembly is replaced, it is necessary to set the contract mode.
When the mayday battery is replaced, perform the necessary registration procedures for the telephone transceiver. For details, refer to the Service Bulletin.
