EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL EGR GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR

      Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 14 mm union nut wrench, install the EGR gas temperature sensor.

      Specified tightening torque

      30 N*m

      306 kgf*cm

      22 ft.*lbf

      Note:

      If the EGR gas temperature sensor is dropped, replace it with a new one.

      Tip:
      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a 14 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 25 mm (0.984 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.)): 28 N*m (286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)

    2. Connect the hose and slide the clamp to secure the hose.

    3. Connect the EGR gas temperature sensor connector and slide the white-colored lock to engage it securely.

  3. INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR

  4. INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. CONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  6. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
