The pre-crash safety city sensor is unable to receive data from the ECM continuously for 6 seconds or more while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module

The pre-crash safety city sensor is unable to receive data from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor continuously for 1 second or more while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

Lost Communication With Steering Angle Sensor Module

The brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU) is unable to receive data from the pre-crash safety city sensor for 2 seconds or more.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

Communication may be suspended if the temperature of the pre-crash city sensor is abnormal. In this case, DTC U023A will be stored, however when the temperature returns to normal, communication will return.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTCS (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Chassis > PCS/LDA/RSA/LVN > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
