REAR BUMPER REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR (for Type A)

   Tip:

   When installing the rear bumper protector, heat the rear bumper moulding using a heat light.

   Standard

   Item	Temperature
   Rear Bumper Moulding	20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   Note:

   Do not heat the rear bumper moulding excessively.

   1. Clean the rear bumper moulding surface.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper moulding surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper moulding.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Install a new rear bumper protector.

      1. Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the rear bumper protector installation area.

         Note:

         • Use a clean brush or felt.

         • Do not touch the rear bumper moulding until the primer has dried.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper moulding.

      3. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear bumper protector.

         Tip:

         After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      4. Install a new rear bumper protector in the position shown in the illustration.

         Tip:

         Press the rear bumper protector firmly to install it.

2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER MOULDING (for Type A)

   1. Install the rear bumper moulding with the 3 nuts.

   2. Install the 2 clips.

      Tip:

      Insert the clip and pass the mark-off line.

   3. Install the 2 screws.

3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER MOULDING (for Type B)

   1. Install the rear bumper moulding with the 5 nuts.

   2. Install the 2 clips.

4. INSTALL REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Fog Light)

   Click here

5. INSTALL REAR FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Rear Fog Light)

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

6. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Reflex Reflector Assembly)

   1. Attach the guide to install the reflex reflector assembly LH.

   2. Attach the clamp.

   3. Install the screw and clip.

7. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Reflex Reflector Assembly)

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

8. INSTALL NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System)
