EGR VALVE (w/o EGR Cooler) REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the gas filter.

    3. Loosen the 2 clamps of the No. 1 and No. 2 air hoses.

    4. Remove the bolt and cleaner pipe together with the 2 air hoses.

  3. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE BRACKET

    1. Remove the 2 connectors from the E-VRV and EGR valve.

    2. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the 2 locations.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.

  4. REMOVE DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. A01E2KU

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, throttle body and gasket.

  5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY BRACKET

      Remove the 3 bolts and bracket.

  6. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR


    1. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt, air connector and gasket.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, pipe and 2 gaskets.

  8. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the EGR valve and gasket.
