WINDSHIELD DEICER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT WIPER DEICER SWITCH


    1. A01RC65C01
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Window Deicer Switch (Lower D Module Switch))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      7 - 19 Front window deicer switch on Below 50 Ω
      7 - 19 Front window deicer switch off 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front window deicer switch (lower D module switch).

      *a Indicator Light
      *b Illumination
      *c

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Window Deicer Switch (Lower D Module Switch))

      Check that the indicator light illuminates.

      OK
      Battery Connection Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 7

      Battery negative (-) → 20

      		 Front window deicer switch indicator illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front window deicer switch (lower D module switch).

    3. Check that the illumination illuminates.

      OK

      Battery Connection Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 8

      Battery negative (-) → 15

      		 Front window deicer switch illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front window deicer switch (lower D module switch).
