SRS SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

  • If the cushion airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag sub-assembly RH, separate type front seat cushion spring assembly, separate type front seat cushion cover and separate type front seat cushion pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Install the front seat airbag assembly LH with 3 new nuts.

      5.5 N*m

      56 kgf*cm

      49 in.*lbf

      CAUTION:

      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

    2. Attach the 3 clamps to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

  6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  9. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
