PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

    Tech Tips

    When removing the symbol emblem, heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly and symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Luggage Compartment Door Outside Garnish Sub-assembly 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly and symbol emblem excessively.

      Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly and symbol emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss positions.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    5. Remove the symbol emblem.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate, heat the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly and No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate using a heat light.

    Note

  3. REMOVE NO. 5 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE
